About me

Jo has worked mental health for 16 years and is passionate about increasing awareness and reducing stigma around mental health and mental illness. Jo is a highly experienced nature-based wellbeing practitioner, with a strong track record in teaching and training.

Jo has been an accredited Mental Health First Aid trainer since 2019, and has trained hundreds of people, both face-to-face and online. She uses her own lived experience and real-life examples to bring the training to life.

  • Foundation Degree Working with Young People (Open University)
  • Level 2 Diploma in Horticulture (RHS)
  • Award in Social and Therapeutic Horticultural (Thrive)
  • Trained in ASIST, Brief Solution Focussed Interviewing, Motivational Interviewing, Level 2 Counselling Skills, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Group Work, Trauma Informed Approach.
